chuck is the main protagonist of radiolaria!

she was born sometime in the early 2020s. by the start of radiolaria she's somewhere in her early-mid 30s. she's adopted, so she isn't quite sure of her biological parentage, but she's pretty sure she's half black, half indian.. or something like that.

she was raised by a white couple who adopted kind of late - she lost her father in her teens and her already rocky relationship with her mother got worse.

after high school, she joined up with some musicians, ran away from home to be Mid Level Famous, fell in love with the guitarist and had a kid - Jessica.

she doesn't really talk about what happens after that. it's sort of a 10 year black hole in her life. jessica's father died suddenly, so Jessica was left in the care of her grandmother, chuck's mom, and the band broke up. that's about it.

10 years later, her mom also died - for less sudden reason, just getting too old. with help from Jessica's other grandparents, Chuck returns to try and relink their relationship.

it's kind of awkward, but she really wants to make things right again.
